J. Peter Rubin, MD

J. Peter Rubin, MD is the Founder and Director of the Life After Weight Loss surgical body contouring program at the University of Pittsburgh. He is recognized both for his comprehensive care approach to the massive weight loss patient and for technical innovations that may help to improve surgical outcomes. He is an avid teacher who directs a one year clinical fellowship in body contouring and has recently published a textbook titled, "Aesthetic Plastic Surgery After Massive Weight Loss." He has lectured extensively on body contouring in the United States and internationally. A Harvard trained surgeon/scientist, Dr. Rubin also directs an active laboratory effort focused on the use of adipose stem cells for regenerative medicine. His research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and he is the recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed upon young scientists by the United States government.

Russell F. Warren, MD

Russell F. Warren, MD is the Surgeon-in-Chief Emeritus of the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in Manhattan and Professor of Orthopedics at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is currently the Team Physician for the New York Giants. He is a past President of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and the Herodicus Society. He presently holds a number of patents for helping to develop devices for anchoring soft tissues to bone and for shoulder replacements. In research, he developed the soft tissue laboratory at The Hospital for Special Surgery. This laboratory specializes in soft tissue repair and regeneration. His research interests include the study of the static and dynamic controls for shoulder and knee stability as well as the biology of ligaments, tendon healing and methods to promote cellular repair or replacement. He has conducted a number of studies of athletic injuries particularly of the knee and shoulder and the ability to return to play at high levels.

Richard M. Green, MD, FACS

Richard M. Green, MD, FACS is currently chairman, Department of Surgery, at Lenox Hill Hospital, in New York City. In 2005, he also became co-director, Division of Peripheral and Vascular Intervention at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Green spent a number of years as chairman, Department of Vascular Surgery, and director, Vascular Training Program, at the University of Rochester. During his tenure at Rochester, he grew and developed a multi-specialty vascular program that included 10 full-time practioners performing more than 1,000 open surgical cases and 7,000 percutaneous interventions annually. Many of Dr. Green's fellows have assumed leadership positions in vascular surgery around the country. Dr. Green's primary areas of clinical activity include the treatment of complex abdominal aortic aneurysms, the development of endografts for the treatment of aortic aneurysms, and techniques for improving outcomes after carotid interventions. Dr. Green is well known as an early adopter of percutaneous revascularization procedures for both peripheral and carotid artery territories.

Michael Buckley, MD

Michael Buckley, MD is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in private practice. While on faculty at the University of Pittsburgh he was Director of the Department of Dental Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Montefiore Hospital; Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs of the School of Dental Medicine; Associate Professor, and Director of Research Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dental Medicine, for the University of Pittsburgh. He was also the head of the Division of Surgical Dental Sciences at the School of Dental Medicine, directing its Multidisciplinary Implant Center. Dr. Buckley is the national Treasurer of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. He has been engaged for some time in research regarding wound healing and tissue engineering. Prior to joining the staff of the University of Pittsburgh, he received his DMD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Connecticut and an MS from the University of North Carolina. He also has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
