PRODUCTS

The unique chemistry underlying Cohera’s technology serves as a platform from which multiple products can be developed.  Small changes in the chemical formulation can lead to product line extensions for a variety of surgical indications, including soft tissue fixation, mesh fixation, and small bone approximation.  Because our adhesive is created from benign ingredients, its break-down products are designed to be non-toxic, with virtually no foreign nody reaction or inflammation based on preliminary testing in animals.

Our lead product under development, TissuGlu®, is a deep wound adhesive for securing planar flaps of tissue to reduce fluid accumulation in the wound.

We are also developing our 2nd product -- a fast, strong adhesive for securing soft tissues and implantable devices such as hernia mesh.

Our third product will be targeted at fixation of small bones, where hardware solutions are unmanageable.
